For funder clients
Once a payment request has been approved, the funder can create a payment authorization to track the approval and payment. The recipient organization will not have insight into a funder's payment authorizations. Payment authorizations can be created from the Post-Award tab>Cash Flow>Payment Authorizations or directly from the payment request.
Note: Depending on your account settings, this record type may have additional custom fields or sections.
- Open Grant Management>Grants Awarded.
- Click a grant name.
- Open the Post-Award tab>Cash Flow>Payment Authorizations.
- Click the (Create icon) in the Icon Bar.
- Add payment authorization Name.
- Select Payment Status.
- Add Related Payment Request(s) (optional).
- Select Authorization Date.
- Select Authorized By staff member. This list pulls from Contacts>Staff.
- Add internal Comments (optional).
- In the Payment Information section, check the Select Payment Source by Budget Category checkbox to select the funding source and amount for each budget category on the linked payment request.
Note: This field is available when there is a linked payment request that is linked to a reporting period with closed expenses.
- Add Amount Paid.
- Select Payment Method.
- Select Payment Date.
- Add Payment Reference code (optional). This field may be used as reference for your financial system.
- Add Payment Notes (optional).
- Click Create.
