Competitive Award Management has been updated and the new security role of Researcher has been added; below is a summary of the updates and changes. These updates affected the following guides: Administration User Guide, Application Reviewer Guide (new), Competitive Award Management Public Applicant Portal Guide, Competitive Award Management User Guide, Grant Research Guide, Security Roles Matrix, Security Roles Guide, and Researcher User Guide (new).

New

Applicant Portal

• Applicant admin can now invite new users to their organization's instance of the Applicant Portal as either admin or editors.

Competitive Award Management

• The new Budget and Performance Plan templates allow funders to set up structured templates for applicants to use when submitting proposed budgets and performance plans. The budget templates can include set budget categories and descriptions, and the performance plan templates can include strategies and allowable goal types.
• Funders can now preview their opportunities and the entire application process before publishing with opportunity testing. Opportunity testing includes a preview of the opportunity creation, Applicant Portal submission, workflow, scoring, and awarding processes.
• Funders can now use conditional fields and tables in their opportunities with the application form builder.

Grant Research

• The new Send for Review button allows users to send grants to other users to review and import.

User Security

• The new Researcher security role allows organizations to designate users that will research grant opportunities. This role is intended for users that will be researching grant opportunities only; they will not be involved with applying for or managing grants.
